Thanks: 1 times
I am running a single Placid BP to my Legato (no buffer, no BAL/SE converter). I decided to try feeding the Placid from a separate rectifier/smoothing board using two bridges, and CRCRC filtering. This board outputs +20V/-20V under no load, but when loaded with Placid BP (bridges removed, 0.1 uF Wimas removed) and Legato the voltage drops to +17V/-17V at the Placid's input. I am still able to get stable +15/-15 at the output of the Placid, but I am wondering if I am pushing the limits of the Placid too much for best performance? I could change my transformer from 15V/15V to 18V/18V if this would be a better way to go.
What do you guys think?
