Hello all,

I am using a Buffalo 1.0 for almost two years now and I am very happy with it, the sound is excellent. Last year I bought a Squeezebox Receiver and connected it with SPDIF to the Buffalo, works very well. Recently I switched to the Squeezebox Touch because in many places I read that its sound quality is much better. This is indeed the case, it sounds more natural and gives much more detail.

A main reason for the sound improvement is said to be the effort that Logitech put in to make the SPDIF output of the Touch really 75 Ohm (read John Swenson's messages at DIY-audio). So at the moment I am trying to make a 75 Ohm interlink using the Canare 75 Ohm RCA plug and RG59 coax cable. Now my question is: what is the input impedance of the Buffalo?

Further I would be interested to hear if anyone of you has tried different digital interlinks and noticed any differences in the sound.

Kind regards,
Eddie
