Hello can you answer some questions for me regarding this product,
1.buffalo dac, ivy3,placid power supplies x2, s/pdif module, do these all come soldered onto there boards, 2. if i put both power transformers with it is it all ther except box 3.how much is postage 4 what does opamps installed mean 5 i can solder very well but does this all bolt togeather aswell 6 how would this go with a squeezebox classic into avi 2000 series pre and monoblocks driving a pair of shahinian arcs, squeezebox is my only source,

I'm not familiar with all TPA products but I have purchased the Buffalo 2 and a Placid power supply.
The Buffalo 2 DAC is a fully assembled kit. You have the option of ordering the kit with a Placid power supply which you assemble, or you can go to the Placid power supply page and order an assembled one, but this will cost more.
There is a Dual Placid power supply, but I think the IVY 3 requires the Placid Bi-polar supply - Russ or Brian need to correct this if I am wrong.
IVY3 is a board that does I/V conversion, that is, current analog output from a DAC in to voltage that can drive the line-level inputs of an amplifier.
I don't know about the SPDIF module, but I assume it comes finished.
"Opamps installed" would be for the a kit version of the IVY3 that has SMD (surface mount devices) which are extremely small and challenging to solder by hand, so are already installed for you, but leave it up to you to solder on the other components.
How you arrange boards to connect together via hookup wire is up to you and dependent on what you want to achieve.
The electrical digital output from a Squeezebox can feed an SPDIF module to allow conversion to an I2S digital format that goes straight in to the Buffalo 2, with probably good results. I think there are some DIY blogs around the web for people who took put the Squeezebox in a separate case with enhanced DIY power supply and tapping the I2S signal direct of the Squeezebox straight to the Buffalo DAC input which avoid the conversion to SPDIF and back to I2S again.
Your amplification and speakers have no bearing on the other questions.

Hello can you answer some questions for me regarding this product, I will try.1.buffalo dac, ivy3,placid power supplies x2, s/pdif module, do these all come soldered onto there boards, Only the Buffalo DAC comes 'ready soldered' all of the other modules the MUX, Placid's, and Volumite all require your soldering skills.2. if i put both power transformers with it is it all ther except box Yes all you need apart from the case plus 'fixtures and fittings' is a pair of transformers one 15VA 15-0-15 for the Placid BP and a 15 VA 9-0-9 for the Placid. I see you're in the UK like me so I would recommend buying your transformers from Farnell or RS to keep the shipping and import duty costs down.
3.how much is postage Roughly round £15 to the UK 'if memory serves'.
4 what does opamps installed mean You won't need to solder them yourself as they are already on-board.
5 i can solder very well but does this all bolt togeather aswell Not quite sure what you mean but the modules all come with stand offs and are easy to mount into a chassis.
6 how would this go with a squeeze box classic into avi 2000 series pre and monoblocks driving a pair of shahinian arcs, squeezebox is my only source, This will work very well indeed - if you want to use the DAC without your preamp then adding Volumite volume control 'might' sound even better. I use a similar system myself I have a modified squeezebox into my 'Dual mono' BuffaloII + Volumite going direct into various DIY amplifiers - it sounds amazing.
Remember that you might have to pay import tax I did but it wasn't too expensive. I hope this helps

I thought the Dual power supply was a dual placid and available as a complete kit (as many of the products are) The I2S quote was because some people take the SPDIF from their Squeezebox, while others tap the I2S going in to the Squeezebox's monolithic DAC chip as they consider this to eliminate a few components and provide an I2S stream with 'better' results. I plan to acquire a Squeezebox for this purpose later.
