Can I use a cd player with a digital out as a transport? I plan on running the analog output from the opus into my Bottlehead foreplay pre which will drive either a crack or a pair of paramounts depending on whether I want to use my cans or not. I'm in the midst of building everything else and throwing together a transport isn't appealing so I just thought I could use a cd player with a nice transport and run the digital output into the opus dac (the dual mono set-up is appealing). Is that doable? I'm sorry for the super-noob question. Thanks for your time.

Yes, that's an S/PDIF output, so you just feed it to an S/PDIF module, which in turn feeds I2S to the Opus.
