did I break my buffalo II?

I think I may have put too much voltage into the Buffalo II due to a bad VD supply. I fixed the supply and get 5.5V when unloaded but when I reconnect the Buffalo, the voltage measures around 2.2V. Seems like a short somewhere? Any help with trouble shooting steps?
