Recently completed a TXO-2 for a good friend and am quite happy with the way it turned out. I liked the way it sounded but yesterday connected it up in balanced mode and it's a completely different beast when fed a balanced signal. I know it should be an improvement in common mode rejection but the improvement in basically all areas of performance was not subtle in my system. Now I'll have to build one for myself. :)

The system consists of a highly modified Squeezebox 2 feeding a Marchand XM44-3 electronic XO which is feeding the amps. The TXO is doing duty on the mids and highs and a Rotel 1080 is driving the woofers. XO is at 275Hz, 4th order LR. Speakers are Meadowlark Blue Heron 2's that have the LP crossover removed for bi-amping.

The amp chassis is from DIY Enclosures and is 17x12x3.5. 400VA transformers, 4 bridges with snubber caps. Heat sinks are from an old Carver amp.

Wow Mike!!! Excellent work! Too bad you must give it up! :)

Great layout in the case. I like it! The switchable input is a very nice touch. Well done!

Make me proud to see something like this! Thank you. :)

Cheers!
