Thanks: 8 times
I'm after some information, rather than use a Ballsie Lite, which I have, I'd like to try balanced to single Ended conversion with some transformers. The problem is I don't know much about such transformers and so am asking for advice on:

1. Which transformers would be a good option for this project?
2. How to hook them up?

1:1 would be fine I think?

Any ideas?

Best wishes,

Russ

I have tried Luhndal LL1690, which I happened to have, with B32.
The result was great, but too expensive for the BAL-SE conversion purpuse only.
Now I am using LL1690 with Old Buffalo((ES9008) as a passive I/V stage to a SET amp and the sound is one of the best I have ever heard.

Would you mind telling us what resistors were used ( if any) across the primary and or secondary of the I/V transformers.
thanks
