I was wondering if I should remove the ic2 on the volumite when using it with the buffalo2?
Because when I remove the controller on the buffalo2 and hookup the volumite to the buffalo2 it blows a fuse on my placid when I first power it up.
Then when I remove the volumite and put the controller back on it also blows the fuse on the placid when I power it on.

You should remove the vreg on the Volumite and use a jumper between pins 1 and 3 as outlined in the Volumite manual.

Neither of the conditions you mentioned should not cause a fuse to blow. It sounds like there is something else wrong. Either too small of a fuse or a short somewhere.

What value fuse are you using?

Can you post some pictures of your setup?

I am was using a 0.5A fuse but now, I am using a 1A fuse.
I am currently not using a placid psu for the buffalo2 because of a bad transistor but I have a sigma11 from AMB that outputs 5V.

The zip ties are hiding it but I have the resistor installed on the volumite.
I was wondering what is the advantage or disadvantage of having the resistors installed?

The VREG on the volumite cannot be in place if you are deriving the supply voltage from the BUFII. :)

Take it out and install the jumper as indicated in the manual.

Also, remove the on-board microprocessor in Buffalo II when using an external microprocessor such as volumite.
