Russ/Brian,

I tested and set my Placid BP supply last week to 15V no load and set aside. Today, I retested it again to make sure the output voltage is right, just found out that once it get hot (around 15 minutes) the output dropped to +/_14.5V, then it get stable at that voltage, I then re-adjusted it to +/-15V when hot then shut it off for 30 minutes. When I powered it back the voltage is 15.5V.

My question is should I set it 14.5V when it's hot so that the start voltage is 15V or I should I set it to 15V when hot but the (cold)start voltage will be 15.5V? Is there a problem if it start 15.5V at cold then settle down to 15V after 15 minutes?

PS I just realized I posted this on the wrong section, S/B on the supply section, SORRY..

Thanks,

Joe

This is normal, I would set it for 14.5V when hot, but you should be just fine either way.
