Hello all,

I built a Kook about a year ago (well actually I built it as a present for my sister and brother-in-law)and for some time now it has been making a "crackling" or "popping" noise at low volume. When the volume is turned up it disappears. It's not a random, ongoing noise but directly related to how loud the music is. So it's the music that's crackling - if you know what I mean.

Does anyone have an idea of what it may be?

I have just ordered a Darwin selector to add to it, so will be pulling it to bits soon to install and may as well have a go at fixing the crackle while I am at it!

Cheers,

Lawriebuck

PS - A big thanks to Russ and Brian for helping to bring great music in to the lives of people with almost zero electronics know-how. I'm ready to tackle a pre-poweramp (Twisted) for myself now.
