Hi,
what I would like to build is an integrated amp with multiple inputs (at least 4 spdif optical and at least 2 line level), and one line level output of whatever is playing at the moment (and maybe also one optical out). Something like a Naim Supernait amp, but that thing is very expensive. I know something about electronics, I do know how to solder, but I'm a bit confused about terminology used on DIY audio sites, like: 'single ended', 'balanced', 'symmetric'. My guess is I could build something I want/like by combining units like Buffalo II, IVY I/V Stage, S/PDIF 4:1 MUX/Receiver and/or Darwin Source Selector and Sympatico and then some. But which modules exactly, and how to power them (do they al use the same power module or do I have to power them separately?). If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it very much!
Many thanks in advance, Bart
