I would very much like 0.1" pitch digital input pads. The current layout could be maintained by simply adding ground connection holes between the existing ones.
This would make for much better ground routing and ease of connection when using I2S/DSD over ethernet as there are many neat RJ45 to 0.1" SIL adaptors boards around.
Just a suggestion.
