Hi,

I would like to use a white LED for the Mute signal and a blue LED for the Lock signal. These typically require 3.7 to 4.0 Volts to light up. Is there a way to get enough voltage to power these LED's? I can get a red and a green to light up but not the white and blue. Thanks for your help.

You could use an NPN bipolar transistor and VD.

470R - 1K (depending on LED) to VD (which should be ~5.5V) -> LED -> Collector
Mute(or lock) in series with say 2K-10K to base.
Emitter to GND.

Thanks Russ. Can you recommend an NPN bipolar transistor and VD for this application? I will be using these LED's here:

Thanks again Russ.

Just about any will work here. BC546 is what I would use because I have a whole pile of them. :) For VD, use the VD coming into the DAC.
