Rank: Member Groups: Member Joined: 1/26/2011(UTC) Posts: 8 Location: Greece		I have a buffalo 32S for quite some time now and i have enjoyed it immensly until last week when it started to make a terrible sound from the right channel only. The sound started as a minor nuisance but it is deteriorating now and it is very bad now. I would be grateful if you could help me solve this. I realy like my buffalo. Alex

I will test the current as you suggessted and get back to you this afternoon with more details and photos. Although, I must stress out that the buffalo was working perfectly and suddently it started to make this noise. I did not touch it in any way.

One was an ESD damaged DAC, and one was a dead output stage (and replacing an op amp fixed it).

See if there is anything that looks out of place. Be very careful that you take care about ESD and proper grounding.

Rank: Member Groups: Member Joined: 1/26/2011(UTC) Posts: 8 Location: Greece		is seems that the problem comes deeper than the output opamps. i don`t know if it is the i/v opamps or the dac chip. it`s hard to take measurements while working. i am afraid about a shortcut since the legs are very close each other.
