Guys,
I have just finished building my first two boards - the kits are great - thank you.
I did purchase a couple of spare boards so that I could try a few different caps here and there later on to see if they changed the sound by much, and to see if it's a worthwhile exercise.
I have come up against a slight problem. The BS 250KL Vishay - Siliconix Mosfet is no longer made and is unavailable here in the UK.
This is the closest I can find:-
Manufacturer: DIODES INC.
Order Code: 9525505
Manufacturer Part No: ZVP2106A RoHS : Yes

Description MOSFET, P, E-LINE
Transistor Polarity:P Channel
Current Id Max:320mA
Drain Source Voltage Vds:60V
On State Resistance:4ohm
Rds(on) Test Voltage Vgs:-10V
Voltage Vgs Max:-3.5V
Power Dissipation:700mW
Transistor Case Style:E-Line
No. of Pins:3
SVHC:No SVHC (15-Dec-2010)
Continuous Drain Current Id:320mA
Current Temperature:25°C
Device Marking:ZVP2106A
Full Power Rating Temperature:25°C
Lead Spacing:1.27mm
No. of Transistors:1
Package / Case:E-Line
Power Dissipation Pd:700mW
Power Dissipation Ptot Max:700mW
Pulse Current Idm:5A
Termination Type:Through Hole
Threshold Voltage Vgs Typ:-3.5V
Transistor Type:
Voltage Vds Typ:-60V
Voltage Vgs Rds on Measurement:-10V

While it is 'close' it's not the same spec (nothing is!).
I obviously dont want to go wrecking anything, especially the sound, so the obvious question is, am I ok to run with this one please?
Thanks for any help - it would be appreciated!
I take it Brian is sitting on a mountain of BS250KL's!

Thanks in advance guys,

Steve.
