Hi,

I'm curious as to whether anyone has tried routing DSD signals to the Buffalo DAC from SDIF-2(DSD Raw) or SDIF-3 equipped gear. I couldn't find any specifics in the Sabre 9018 documentation that I've come across as to whether the DAC can accept a DSD feed with an embedded clock signal (SDIF-3) and somehow manage clock recovery or whether in can only accept a raw DSD feed with a separate clock signal. The Tascam DV-RA1000HD recorder features both output types. My understanding is that, when using the SDIF-2 output, the Word Clock output has to be used in tandem with it. However, the Buffalo DAC has a Bit Clock input which is expected to be used along with the DSD data inputs. Does anyone know how to make these two compatible?

Thanks
