Being 1.2 and 3.3V I take it there will be 2 versions, or will it be a kit?

Still working out pricing, but they will be cheaper than what is available currently.
They have customizable shunt current using a single TH resistor. I am thinking I will include a few differnt values in the generic kit, and a set specifically for the Buffalo with the desired Rs included.
I am building these things by hand, so I hope to have plenty, or at least be able to crank them out in time for Buffalo deliveries. I plan to start "production" tomorrow night.

Unfortunately the noise is below what I can measure. So I hope someone with better gear than mine might undertake to measure the noise.
The output impedance is just a few tens of millohms. Better than the linear regs, and that was actually my most important design goal.
The Trident page should have pricing on it.

Thank you, Russ and Brian! I am quite excited to try these with my B-II. I read in another thread that adding 3 Tridents will raise the power requirements of the B-II to ~475 mA, is this about correct? I need to reset the available current from my DIY shun pre-reg to suit. Also, what would be the ideal input voltage, 5.0 or 5.5, or somewhere in between?

Really you would need a good analyzer to measure something like this. I don't have anything like that. The noise floor of my PC analyzer is too high to pick it up. Edited by user Wednesday, November 17, 2010 11:19:28 AM(UTC)

You could just use some resistor lead clippings and offset them slightly, etc.

Brian, did you calculate the shipping weight correctly? Shipping seems to cost an awful lot for 6 items so small.

I guess the related question would be what is the total height of a 'standard' IVY, Buffalo and Trident combo, all mounted only with the included gear. Cheers!
