I plan to begin producing the next batch of Buffalo DACs next week, and will be opening up pre-orders at the same time. Look for exact dates and times on the Buffalo page in the next few days. The only change in this round is that we are moving to a 100MHz XO. You can read more about that, including answers to some question on the DIYAudio thread.

The USB Receiver/DAC modules are back in stock now that boards have arrived after a long delay from our manufacturer. I will be building these modules straight away.

Another long-awaited item is the (possible) replacement for the Darwin and OTTO. We are currently testing prototypes of a module (codenamed MRB1) which is a building block switch based on a single G6K (DPDT) relay. Each board has a trigger mechanism like the OTTO, so it can easily be controlled by a simple switch or digital logic, and they are designed to stack or mount side by side. Both signal and triggers can be linked between boards, allowing you to create a switch with an unlimited number of poles, and with an unlimited number of switched channels. These boards just arrived yesterday, so more details to follow as the testing proceeds.
