I do own a Legato and a IVY III for my Buffalo II and so far I'm liking the Legato better then the IVY III.
I still do not really like the bipolar caps at the output and therefore would like to have a closer look at the Counterpoint I/V stage.

Is it still available?
And would it be sonically interesting for me, having the two other I/Vs already (I directly connect to a fully balanced Beta22 headphone amp, so I don't need SE)?

Best regards
Thorsten

The only available DIY direct coupled discrete I/V stage was a design from Erno Borberly. It was pricey and he has recently retired.

I understand that such circuits grow in complexity (and costs) and the results might be questionable when comparing capacitor coupled or integrated circuit opamp designs.

Nevertheless, is TPA still planning to release Counterpoint II?

Is there any idea of timeline/roadmap?

"We are not doing it" is also a good answer. No rush, no problem.

Will Legato3 work with the old Buffalo24?

Without knowing the board, I'll say yes.
