My Ballsie kit come with the R11 resistor missing (1K, .25W). Can I substitute it with a jumper ?

Yes. The 1K is there is starve the relay's coil of current so it closes faster at power down to help it eliminate any turn off thump. With it shorted, you *may* have a turn off thump, maybe not. Try it.

If you have one, you can use any 1K resistor there. It in no way affects the sound quality, since it is just on the relay coil.

I was missing r11 in all of my recent ballsie kits as well. No problem as I have lots of 1K resisters lying around.
