Hi guys, i just finished my buffalo kit, made by 2 BPPlacid powering legato and of course 1 placid powering the buffalo. Everything is in the case and ready to fire! But, when i connected to power, all the leds are on, except the one half of one BPPlacid! When i made a check to see if everrything works before i put them in the chassis, everything was allright! I must note here, that when i first put them in the chassis the 1 BPPlacid was off completely and when i checked the cable connections, the power transformer cable connection with the cable which goes to IEC (neutral) was not good, so i soldered it again and then the one half lite on, as i said before. What can it be? Everything in relation to the connections seems ok now and i can't figure out what else there might be...

A few suggestions of things to check below, by no means an exhaustive list.

Make sure the bridge rectifier is around the right way that supplies that half of the placid BP.

Check the polarity of the LEDs. The -ve lead will have a flat edge along the case, also looking into the LED will have the larger portion of the internal construction.

Make sure the connection of the transformer secondaries into the terminal blocks is secure. It is relatively easy to screw down on a wire, but having the insulation in the terminal also, preventing electrical connection. Measure the AC voltage across the input terminals of the Placid BP to check. Should be 15V or maybe a little higher (transformers will give higher than rated output voltage when they're load is less than rated load).

Double check your soldering for cold or dry joints.
