Measuring current to Buffalo II and Ivy III from Placid/Placid BP

Guys,
Sorry if this is such a basic question but I want to get this right. I built a Buffalo II, IVY III combo with Placid and Placid BP. It's working, but I am not sure I have the current set correctly. Truth be told, I am not sure what I am doing is correct. I have the voltage on the Placid set to 5.5v and on the Placid BP to 15v. On the Placid BP I am trying to measure from each leg of R1 and R2 and 0v and trying to calculate the voltage drop with respect to the supply voltage. The numbers don't make sense, so I am obviously doing something wrong. Ditto for the Placid.
The combo is working, but I had to increase the current from the Placid to the Buffalo as the LED on the AVCC module was flickering in time to the music. I basically turned it up until it stopped flickering, hardly accurate I know. Clearly something was wrong, and I need to figure out if I have the Placid BP set correctly, probably not.
Appreciate any help.
Colin

You should be measuring the voltage across R1 and R2, meaning between the two pins of the resistor itself. Since it has a resistance of 1-ohm, the voltage represents the current (I=V/R -> I=V/1 -> I=V).

Don't short (with your probe pin) from resistor to groundplane (top of PCB). You will burn the current limiting potentiometer if done so.

Well, looks like I did just that, because the LED's are all out on the same side as VR4 and there is no sound anymore. You live and learn I guess.
