Brian/Russ,

I'm running my opus into a balsie and then SE. I've read a few blurbs suggesting that the output caps could be bypassed in this configuration. In your opinion is it worth doing, would there be an audible improvement ?

Well, fewer caps in the signal path are generally a good thing, especially ELs. It's easy enoght to try, just tack som jumpers across the cap pins under the board to bypass. No need to fully remove them.

Hi Brian,

I did get the chance to bypass the output caps and I think that there is an improvement. A little subtle but there seems to be more depth and the sound is a little sharper, improved clarity.
