D2 looks backwards to me, double check its in the right way

I have double checked. D1 and D2 are both facing the same direction. When I inserted them, I am treating the longer lead as +ve. I can observe that the longer lead is having a smaller part inside the green plastic. Am I right to treat the longer lead as +ve?

Yeah +ve has the longer lead, -ve has a flat edge and the larger section visible in the LED - sounds like they're in the right way then

I have dismounted all active components and found they are in good order except I have not dismounted the opamp. Is there any way to measure if the opamp is working in circuit? If (only if) the opamp is the problem, I have AD8210 with me, can I use it?

By the way, I have a low noise 6V regulator. Can I feed the Buffalo DAC with 6V (without adding a resistor in between)?

If you look at the cct the current that drives the LEDs takes a pretty simple path. So there are only a couple possibilities.

One of the components in that path is bad. Or installed incorrectly.

Installing an LED backward can cause it to fail.

Make sure you are installing only known good components.

You might also need to check the JFET.

What is the voltage across R5?
