Hey guys am trying to get an spdif out from Si4735 (data-sheet http://www.silabs.com/pr...vers/Pages/Si473435.aspx)
well, ive got the bit sync and that digital output signals but I cannot fine a mclk signal from the si unit. Could you please help ? is the mclk signal a must?

I am not at all familiar with that part. I will do a bit of research.

Are you sure it is not doing PCM output?

It looks like the default is I2S(PCM)

Try this (With SPDIF switch open):

Si4735 -> BUFII

DCLK -> DCK
DFS -> D1
DOUT -> D2
GND -> GND

Oops, I forgot that you did not say you were using the BUF-II.

Anyway all you need to know is that DCLK is the bit clock, DFS is the word clock, and DOUT is DATA.

Only the signals I mentioned (along with GND) are required.
