I have a problem with my opus DAC.
It's a build with the following parts:
3x Placid PSU
1x Metronome
1x S/PDIF Transceiver
1x Opus DAC v2.0

I have connected everything and the only thing I hear is a lot of hum.
I have also tried it without the Metronome, but the end result was the same.

I can't spot anything right away, what are the supply voltages when it is all powered up?

Allright, the hiss/hum is gone. I found out I had to set the OSR jumper on the Opus to +, because i was using the 192Khz setting on the metronome.

But the problem is that there is no sound at all now.

Settings of Opus:

MUTE: O

Ok the first thing to do is to try just the receiver and Opus. Make sure the opus is setup for 44.1khz PCM.

Allright, I tried it without the metronome with the following settings for opus:
I2S: +
DSD: -
DEEMPH: -
MODE: -
IWO: +
DIFFHW: -
FSEL: O
MUTE: O
OSR: O

Still no sound.

I can't spot any problems on this end.

Double check continuity of the I2S signals.

Try putting MUTE to + instead of open.

Make sure you don't have any shorts around the output.

Indeed for 44.1-48khz OSR must to be low (-).

For medium rat(88.2khz or 96khz) it should be open. And for high rate (176.4 or 192khz) it should be high(+)

I have set OSR to - and I have tried putting MUTE to +, but still no sound.

How do I check the continuity of the I2S signals, can I measure it?

I measured the resistance between input and S/PDIF Transceiver, between S/PDIF Transceiver and Opus DAC and between Opus DAC and output, but everything seems to be normal.
I have also tried a different source and a different digital cable, but there is still no sound.

In the S/PDIF Transceiver, set the TXSRC to +.

Actually that switch will make the transceiver work in transmit mode.

I would snap a good close up of the top of the Opus.

Also measure the output side of the tristate switches and make sure they actually are as intended (high or low).

The output side of the switches is the pad next to the label.
