Brian/Russ,

I was looking at the data sheet for the DAC chip and was curious which roll off you selected for the chip in your application.

That's easy... we didn't. This feature (filter on/off, roll-off fast/slow) is selectable with the on-board jumpers DM0 and DM1 (see page 5 of the WM8740 Datasheet for more detail on how to set them for the desired filter characteristics.

[EDIT:] Sweet! First again!

You can configure the DAC to do any of the hardware or software mode filters.

It is completely up to you and your preferences. :)

The WM8740 datasheet can give you more details on which jumpers to set to get what you want.

DM0 and DM1 are the jumpers of interest in hardware mode.

Setting DM1 high configures the DAC for slow roll off.

I tend to use the normal roll off without the ballsie, and the slow rolloff when I use the ballsie. But that is just my personal preference.

Cheers!
Russ
