Hi, I'd like to check if it is possible to use the Sympatico amps for the following setup:

Three way horn speakers, DCR values: 12.4(tweeter), 8.6(mids), 6.2 ohms(midbass) ohms.

http://picasaweb.google....2GC3iInc?feat=directlink

I plan to have passive line level filters (for crossover) between pre-amp and Sympatico amps. I plan to use 12v gel (35 amp hour) batteries for powering the amps. Is that possible and is that a good solution (to use multiples of 12v batteries)?

Thanks,
Herman

Sure that should work fine. 4 batteries in series taking the center as 0V/GND.

Thanks!

So to confirm, that should produce 48v dc. Any soft on circuitry necessary? So I just hook them up through an on/off switch?

What about the heat sink and any other additional components (besides the case) that I need in addition to you online kits to make this a working amp?

I have never tried such a setup. But it should work fine.

There are plenty of suitable heat sinks. Look at the LM4780 datasheet for some pointers regarding heat sink selection.

All you will need beside the kit are a case, heat sink, and various connectors and such.

48?
if you take the middle as GND, you get +24 0 -24.

What is the max power supply rating for the Sympatico?
