I do it the setup to configure the B II for SPDIF: changed the input selector in the pcb & used GND for ground & SPDIF for signal & the Led to indicate locked don't lit & the B II don't sound, both Leds on the top of B II are lit, until today the unit was going on very well with setup I2S but now I need to change the setup to SPDIF to connect the hiFace M2Tech 24/192, please help?

Also I have tried other source (dvd instead pc), now sounds cut off & locked Led blinks lit & don't lit.

I'm not following the whole story (Input selector on the PCB?, do you mean the SPDIF switch?). Did you switch the 'SPDIF switch' on the Buffalo to the 'on' position?

Yes I switched to SPDIF "on" in the PCB to setup SPDIF input & after connected the signal + where marked in the PCB "SPDIF" & connected the ground - where marked in the PCB "GND".

Mmm, I had a similar problem (no lock on one source, flickering lock led with another cable). Finally it turned out to be a broken SPDIF out on my CD-player. But you already mentioned you also tried another source. Still seems like a bad connection. Is your cable ok? Is it directly connected to the Buffalo or via a connector? I would measure all your cable connections..

Try connecting the S/PDIF signal to D1 and turning the SPDIF switch off.

My guess is noise from the switching PSU is getting into your S/PDIF.

Can I use a pulse transformer, or do you have another idea to avoid the noise?

Try some kind of surge suppressor on the mains, or try a Musiland device.
