I have Placid Version 2.0 and have soldered VR2 and VR4 the other way around from the silk screen. Does this matter?

Thanks for the quick reply Russ. I didn't think it would, but best to make sure before making an expensive mistake!

I don't seem to be able to get the voltages in the manuals. For the Placid I get no higher than 0.266V across R17 (5.46V at the terminals) and for the Placid BP I can get 0.15V across R1 and R2 (I assume this is correct for Ivy III?) but can get no less than 15.74V at the output terminals.
Also, not sure where to put meter probes. On the BP do I put the black on V- and red on V+ and adjust VR3 and VR4 or do I measure to GND? Probably obvious to technical folks, but a bit unclear to me.

I have the Volumite, and assumed I had to put a jumper wire between the 2 outer pads at IC2 - is that correct?

Sorry for the noob questions (but at least I read the manuals!).

Red on V+, black on GND should be 15V.
Red on GND, black on V- should be 15V.
Red on V+, black on V- should be 30V.

Thanks Beefy. That may explain my BP readings. I shall go back and re-adjust.

Update: BP dead on, normal Placid gives 5.5V but across R17 I now get 0.253V. Across R2 I get 215.4 ohms (which seems to be the maximum for VR2).

Update 2: R6 shorted - that did the trick!
