Ok, I have my tree built. Putting in 7.5V of DC into the AC1 and AC2. Getting ~5V at the VDD output. I saw in this thread: http://www.twistedpearau...t.aspx?g=posts&t=920That the Vreg on the volumite should be removed, but Im beginning to think that its not correct. In the thread he gets +5V at the VCC which with the Vreg gone would pump 5V into the circuit. The reason I started to troubleshoot was that nothing was happening when turning the knob. But then I realized I only got 2.5V at the VDD output on the relay controller. So I bumped up the DC going into the controller from 5V to 7.5 to get 5V at the VDD. But since I removed the vreg from volumite I might fry something, right? Edited by user Wednesday, March 24, 2010 11:10:41 AM(UTC)

If you have more than 5V going to it, yes you need a regulator.
