Hi all,

I got a Buffalo II kit with the Placid single-rail kit for the digital supply. I also got the Volumite kit and TORX kit. i was wondering if the Volumite & TORX take a non-negligible amount of current, as I was planning on hooking them up to the same Placid supply as the Buffalo without any adjustments. If not, what should I plan on adjusting the Placid supply current to? I can't seem to find info on how much current these two add-ons draw.

They take only a few mA, so this would be fine. It is easiest to power the Volumite from the I2C header on the B-II, but that entails using a jumper in place of the TO-92 vreg on the Volumite (see the Volumite manual for more on that).

If I understand correctly I can also use the I2C header connection with the vreg in-place, yes? It would just be redundant in that case.

Thanks for the info, this way I don't have to deal with installing another regulated PSU.

No. The VREG needs a certain amount of voltage over the regulating voltage to operate correctly. If you feed 3.3V to a 3.3V vreg, you will not get 3.3V out of it.
