Hi all,
So, I got my buffalo 32s a few months ago and was unable to even start on the project until yesterday due to other concerns...
Anyway, I have populated all the boards and am ready to begin...
However, I am not sure if i've lost something, but there seems to be no documentation on how to put everything together (and I can't seem to find anything about it in here either_ - the manual isn't all that useful - it could at least show a wiring diagram or something....
At this point I am not even sure which transformer goes with which power supply! I can only assume the larger on goes with the LCBPS, but what are S1 and S2?
Anyway, I suppose I am feeling a little desperate now...can anyon help with a basic diagram or something?

For example, does this hookup of the power supplies look okay? It seems that one of the transformer is humming after I plug it in...

Nono, you're feeding the output of the modules. Don't power up as this!

Your transformer wires has to go to the other end of the modules.

I don't know the particular trannies, so stick to your DMM to find your two pairs of low voltage AC.

Sweet jesus, they are both definitely hooked up wrong - the AC inputs are clearly marked on the silkscreen. You'll be lucky if you haven't borked those power supplies.

The mechanical hum is probably from the transformer hooked up to the LCBPS. Looks like you might have shorted the secondary windings, and you are lucky you didn't fry the transformer as well.

And just an FYI...... if you are unsure, it is generally a good idea to ask questions before you power something up.

jeez, now that I look at it that makes some sense :)
Thanks for the help...Now I have the LCBPS biased, on to the 2nd one...do you know off-hand what the bias points are?

p.s. - the AC inputs - they said S1 and S2, and it wasn't obvious, at least to me...

Thanks again...so, now I am looking at the unit and what I am thinking is the following...the LCBPS whould be hooked at the outside posts, while one leg of the LCDPS (5V) should be on the inner one (disregard the 3.3V trace as I realized that was for I2s connection or something?_

Ok. The LCBPS in your picture looks correct. The LCDPS is wrong, however. All you need to hook up is the 5V as you have it. DO NOT hook up 3.3V to the Buffalo. That 3.3V terminal is an output for powering the Volumite.

I am not quite sure what you mean by bias points. The adjustment on the supply is to set the output voltages. For VD you want 5VDC. For the two VA terminals, you want +15VDC and -15VDC.

The AC terminals are also marked with ~, which means AC.

I noted to disregard the 3.3V output...by bias i mean output voltage...
