So, Russ and I have been talking about the Opus USB module that we will be releasing soon. It got us to talking about the number of pre-mounted SMT parts, and that there are only a few parts left, so the kits are not much of a kit. If we simply mounted all the parts, we could test every unit before we ship. There are, after all, very few things for people to tweak/experiment with on these boards, and since they are modular, it's really how you put the different modules together than the parts on the board. So what am I getting at? Well, we are thinking of making the Opus modules all pre-assembled and tested, rather then kits. Prices for the modules would likely stay the same, as the increase in assembly time would be offset by savings in parts labeling and kitting time. I guess we are looking for some feedback on this, so don't be shy. Drop us a line at feedback@twistedpearaudio.com or just reply (up on the top right). if the price is the same, it will save time, and the testing will be a fantastic added value. I vote for completed boards :)

This seems to be the prevailing opinion (or, at least, no one has said it's a bad idea). I have already added the complete module options to the Opus page. Enjoy!
