My OPUS is (and has been) setup nice using to COAX inputs. I just bought a streaming media device that has only toslink. I would really rather not completely reconfigure my OPUS setup and install the TP Toslink.
Will the use of an external toslink to coax adapter introduce jitter or degrade the audio quality in any way?

Thank you

Darren

Any adapter you use is likely to introduce jitter. Its up to you to decide if it hurts your sound quality or not. TBH, I don't think its going to be more cost or quality effective to buy an adapter rather then to buy an Otto and a Toslink adapter and install a switch to change digital inputs. Or you could use the Mux.

So, are you saying that using the TP toslink module and switching it, would be the best way to go quality wise?

Thanks

I have configured my opus to take input both from a coax, and opt. I used the twisted pear torx module and I use a toggle switch to switch between the inputs. I can't really tell the difference between the two.
