I'd appreciate information about that !!.
I've read somewhere that there were plans on selling this new board but without the IVY analog stage, so something similar to the old board I guess...
Best regards, Pepe

It is coming. In fact I just had the layout open about an hour ago.
I am just ironing out some changes Brian and I discussed.
Thanks for your patience. :)

It's more of a DIY upside than a sonic upside. You will be able to supply your own output stage or use one of ours. Whether there is a sonic upside is up to the implementation and user's ability/preferences/interpretation.

Great!! With full digital input circuitry including µC as on B32S I hope. I would love it to be compatible with AC1 when this comes out. With facilitated implementation of "external" power supplies...... With facilitated, easily reversible, direct access to the signal output from the ESS chip...... Personally, I would prefer a layout identical to the current Buffalo32S (even populated and with the same price-tag) but with a series of convenient positions (holes/pads) where to do tweak and undo them safely again for A/B comparisons. Would buy one immediately! Just my two pennies. Nic

I don't want to seem finicky, but asking does not hurt. Is it going to have 1 chip per channel (8 dac's per channel) or both channels are going to share the same chip (4 dac's per channel)? Does that increase costs too much? If two chips are chosen, is it possible to share the same crystal oscillator? In this case, is it possible to feed each chip with its own power supply? Which power supply would feed the shared clock? A third power supply? I know that sky is the limit when dealing with costs and this might not be economically viable, but I am just curious to know if it is possible. Regards, Jose Luis

It will have one DAC chip.
The easiest way to describe it is that it will be a lot like the Buffalo24, but with the 32-bit chip, more pads for tweaking, and an enhanced layout.
