Are the load balance resistors still needed with the new dac chip?

If you use them into a single IVY yes. It has the same output as the older chip.

Thanks Russ. It's into a singel ended cap right now, but soon into a transformer. Is the value important between the outputs? 0.1% resistors?
I would not think so, but?

No its not critical at all. I use 1% metal film there.
