Remember that Brian is not in his new home yet, and it it is a holiday over here. I am sure he will post when he has it tested.
I don't currently have a BUF24 setup to test with, or I would test it.

Brian, I have teamed up with a guy here who can program the 85. Will you mail me the correct source file, then I'll program the chip myself.

The problem with the sabre is that you need to sign an NDA before you can look at the register definition. I wonder if releasing source code is allowed by the NDA...

It was a cut and past error. When I was recoding for the BUF32S I found an improvement that the BUF24 could benefit from. When I pasted the new code over one function call was inadvertently omitted. That was the entire problem. It was not spotted because I did not have a suitable test environment at the time and Brian had no opportunity to test it either. I did at one time quickly try to test it, but I must have grabbed the wrong hex. In any case the firmware is fixed now and we will make sure any folks who got the bad firmware get replacements. Sorry for any frustration. The problem is I have so much new stuff being tested I don't even have a running BUF24 rig right now. Cheers! Russ Edited by user Tuesday, July 14, 2009 5:40:15 AM(UTC)

Well, it surely solved the problem - it's now running. A little high-voltage programming combined with fuses alteration and it's even reachable via ISP. Nice. Edited by user Tuesday, July 14, 2009 9:00:47 AM(UTC)
