Hi,

I'm planning to order Toslink and S/PDIF kit for input of Buffalo 32, I will use Otto to split my (two) sources (2:1). Is this the better combination or just use two optical and use Otto? Some other suggestions will be highly appreciated.

It would be helpful to start with what you are trying to achieve. You want two optical S/PDIF inputs for the Buffalo?

Here is my situation: I need to connect my DVR and CDP to Buf32. My DVR only have optical out, so I thought I can use both optical for DVR and CDP as a source with Otto.

Okay, that should work fine. You could also use a simple toggle switch to go between the Toslink module output and the coax. You do not need an S/PDIF module, however, as the Buffalo accepts S/PDIF directly.
