Hi,
I have a balanced JT that is not working. I'm feeding it 10.5 VAC (measured) from a 15 VA (9+9) toroid. I checked all the wiring and connections and checked continuity from the data ribbon/bus between the relay driver and relay boards and no issues. When I check the voltage across the inputs, it shows that my source is feeding a signal. Output voltages are zero on both relay boards is 0 V. When I turn the volume knob on the volumite, I don't hear relay clicks (I assume I'm supposed to based on other threads). Based on what I've read in this forum, perhaps I got a chip with the incorrect firmware? I ordered March 27th. I can post pictures if needed. Thanks.

Pictures would be a good first step. Please show the top of the Volumite controller, the top of the Relay Driver (including the power wiring), and closeups of the ribbon connectors.

You should be hearing clicking of relays when adjusting the volume. It is possible you need a firmware update, but this is not a symptom related to firmware version.

Hi Brian,
I've uploaded a gallery here.
For the power wiring on the relay driver, it is just connected to the AC secondaries of the 15VA (9+9) toroid. Thanks for the help and good luck with the move.

Try setting the address switches on the driver to low (0).

Also all of the IDC connectors should be oriented so that they have the same wire at pin 1.

That means they all have to face the same way.

Actually I guess it depends on how you have oriented each male IDC header.

Just make sure that pin 1 on the driver end is connect to pin 1 on both of the relay boards.

The rule of thumb is to align the red wire in the ribbon with the little arrow imprint on the connector.

Thanks for the help. Flipping the address switches seemed to do the trick.
