I have connected up an amanero-hermes-cronus to my BIIIse-PRO es9038 but get no lock and no sound.

Crystals are 45.1584/49.152MHz
J1:2 shorted.

Using default on-board controller and get a brief flash on auto-mute led on startup.
Lock led does nothing.

To troubleshoot I tried connecting an amanero directly to the BIIIse-PRO according to image below:

No lock. No sound.

I then set SW1 position 1 to off and lock led is now on while nothing is playing. As soon as something starts playing the lock led is off. Seems like inverted behavior.

Also tested setting SW2 positions 5-8 off but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Have you double checked this?

As an experiment I tested hooking up the amanero that came in the amanero-hermes-cronus combo directly to the Buffalo. No lock led activity at all.

Im guessing differences in the amanero firmware compared to the spare one.

After a bit of fiddling around it turned out that the amanero connected to hermes-cronus is faulty in some way.

Replaced it with my spare amanero and now have lock and sound.
