Hi all, We seem to be unable to install the Rpi Hat Package from Github to the Pi on the Volumio platform. At first we encountered some errors which we tackled via a thread at Volumio. Now the proces stops here: root@volumio:/home/volumio/tpa-hermes-rpi-dev# git pull Already up-to-date. root@volumio:/home/volumio/tpa-hermes-rpi-dev# make clean make -C /lib/modules/uname -r/build M=$PWD clean make[1]: *** /lib/modules/4.19.118-v7+/build: No such file or directory. Stop. Makefile:27: recipe for target ‘clean’ failed make: *** [clean] Error 2 root@volumio:/home/volumio/tpa-hermes-rpi-dev# It says that no Quote:make[1]: *** /lib/modules/4.19.118-v7+/build file is found in the directory. Can someone here tell us if this file is TPA of Volumio related and does anyone has any suggestions hoe to solve this issue? Thank you in advance! Jordo

It has been 3 months since my first post. I was able to ask another friend for help. He performed several clever tricks but still no succes. How can you make sure that the software really sees the hardware? Anyone? Russ, Brian? IMG_0700.png (314kb) downloaded 5 time(s).Edited by user Friday, October 8, 2021 6:05:32 PM(UTC)

With help on the DIY audio forum we've figured out that the TPA (Miero) software does not work for the Volumio platform. I will close this item here for now. Changed status to closed. Edited by user Sunday, October 17, 2021 8:50:19 PM(UTC)

Volumio uses the MPD player to play music. After reading the readme for the tpa-hermes-rpi-dev gethub repo, https://github.com/miero/tpa-hermes-rpi-dev. MPD should work with the software because it a Alsa linux kernel module ( sound card driver) that creates a Alsa sink. The issue I have seen with Volumio is that it's GUI will not allow the user configure MPD to use the unexpected Alsa sink that the software creates. I use local builds of MPD is send audio to my buffalo DACs. One could try to manual edit the Volumio MPD configuration to use tpa-hermes Alsa sink. One possible issue with the manual configuration is that Volumio could replace what was added with what it thinks is correct. I do not use Volumio because it thinks it is smarter than the user.

Thank you Wolfman,
I’m investigating to make the move to Moode. Since I already have trouble with how to get Moode working with Qobuz, the actions required you suggest to get Volumio working with the Cronus are way over my head.
