Two quick questions:
1. Can the two 100uf caps on the Ballsie stage (adjacent to the op amp) be swapped out for 47uf caps?
2. Can the Ballsie stage be bypassed completely by using a balanced to RCA adaptor on XLR out? Cardas makes a variety of adaptors to suit.

1) Sure, not not sure why.
2) That would be the same as using the +OUT and GND of the balanced outputs. You will have better results using the Ballsie stage.
