I'm having a bit of trouble with my metronome... and I'm wondering if anyone in here could help me out.

I'm running the metronome between a USB reciever board and a WM8740 Opus. I can connect the USB reciever directly to the Opus and I get sound, but as soon as the metronome is in there it's silence. I've tried the metronome at 96khz and 192khz output. One interesting thing: when I power the whole DAC on (ie. power up the Opus and Metronome boards - USB reciever is always on due to USB connection) I sometimes get a tiny amount of sound - like a few tenths of a second - which is definitely the same as the song I'm playing at the time. Also, if I prod the RST header or connect it quickly to ground and VDD in succession, I can get more tenths of seconds of sound each time. Any idea what's happening?

As a side note - the board seems to be drawing a fair amount of current. The LM317 which is supplying the Opus and Metronome boards is really hot, and I've got a small RAM sink attached to it.

Oh, and jumper settings are all as recommended per the Opus and Metronome manuals.

Can you repeat the settings and the wiring in the metro board?
