Hello,
My placid 2.1 powering my Buffalo 3 suddenly stopped working after about two years.
I was playing music and turned unit off, and when I turned back on there was no power to Buffalo 3.
Any recommendations on possible culprits and/or some testing sequences?
It's getting proper volts from transformer, but 0.0v at the Output of the placid.
I have not checked anything in between yet.

I would start by isolating the power supply from the rest of the DAC (disconnect).
With it isolated, recheck your output voltage and shunt current, and we can work from there.

Brian,
Before I read your reply, I placed meter to take measurement between TP_CCS+ and TP_VIN+ and power came on.
Prior to that, the Placid was not providing power as I described in original post. It's working fine now, but is there a reason this could have happened? It seems too coincidental to not think something is loose! But I checked solder joints on everything and all seems ok.

It is most likely a loose wire.
Second most likely is a cracked solder joint; these can be very difficult to see. It's probably worth your time to add a little flux and reflow joints that experience heat cycling, like the large transistor pins. Also, the terminal block pins, as those joints experience physical stress when tightening screws.
