Hi folks. I have a long standing issue with my bipolar PSU which I use to power an active crossover, ASP for my Linkwitz LX521 speakers.
The PSU works very well but if I turn it on or off while the amps are turned on they immediately trip out. This often means I leave it on for long periods as the amps take some time to lose power when I shut them down and I don't always want to wait around long enough to shut the PSU off safely.
Is there anything I can add to the PSU to stop this spike happening? Apologies if this is a basic question but my electronics knowledge is pretty limited. Thanks.

It sounds like a wiring issue. Can you show how things are connected?

Transformer large diameter wires: brown = mains phase blue = mains neutral grey and brown are joined Transformer small diameter wires: Red = S1A Black = S1B Yellow = S2A Orange = S2B It's delivering +12/-12 VDC and my meter doesn't show a spike when switching on. How are you handling grounds; between the PSU and XOver, and chassis, connectors, etc?

I forgot to post this issue is resolved.
I was not using the common connection from PSU to my crossover. It turns out the crossover uses common in the balanced input section.
Just shows that balanced power is not the same as +/- 12v!
