I'd like to use FIR filtering for a 4-way speaker system (sub, mid-bass, mid, high).
I can possibly do this with a miniSharc.

Would I be correct in saying I will need DACs to go from the Sharc to the speaker drivers?

I'd like to get some opinions and input on the possibility of using the Buffalo DACs to accomplish this.
Suggestions and opinions welcomed.

I have this signal chain:

Roon -> Dirac -> MiniStramer (I2S) -> miniSharc (I2S) -> Buffalo III (8ch) -> 6x Hypex UcD180HG -> DIY Seas Excel 3way

I have generated FIR crossovers with RePhase program.

I also programmed a Arduino micro controller to change various settings, volume control and to run a LCD display on the BIII.

Currently building an opamp output stage for the DACs.

Buffallo III will work nicely for you giving 4 channels of stereo from the MiniSHARC I2S lines

you will additionally need a preamp and amp s well as a DAC between the miniSHARC and your speakers.
