Which of these two xformers would be a better bet? I know both would work, but Antek AN-10425 - 1000VA 25V TRANSFORMER (4x25V) Antek AN-8420 - 800VA 20V TRANSFORMER (4x20V)It's only a $16 difference. Chips would be using the same heatsink and won't be super far apart, but size is ample, 310mm tall by 150mm wide. Will be using a soft start circuit FWIW. Also, unrelated question, but would using polyproplyene caps in C3/C4 be better than polyester? Have a few Wimas laying around. TIA.

I use this one: http://www.antekinc.com/...4-600va-24v-transformer/600VA is plenty, and 24V is the sweet spot. Also, MKP caps will work fine in place of the MKT. I primarily use the MKTs as they are slightly smaller and allow better access to the chip mounting screws. You can always mount them under the board though. Thanks Brian,
You don't think the extra headroom of the 1000VA would be worthwhile? Assuming I could toss a resistor inline for a voltage drop from each 25V output (R = V / I, R = 1 volt / 10 amp) = 0.1R resistor rated at 10W+ to get it down to 24V?
Thanks for the info re: the PP caps.

1000VA 25V would definitely work, no need to drop the voltage (assuming an 8-ohm load). If you are using lower impedance speakers (4-ohm), you probably want to look at a lower voltage (20-22V).
