What modifications are being done to it? Any improvements?

Some layout changes. It will also come as more of a kit (still mostly SMD). We may also offer a pre-assembled option for the SMD parts. That's about it.

Hi there all. I'm new to this site. Thought I'd post here too, just to show interest in this amp. Also wondering when this would be available.

Thanks

Hey Brian and Russ,
I am interested in the Sympatico as well.

We know you two are ultra busy right now and have a lot of things on your plate at the moment, but do you have a general time table of when this might be available? This year? Aprox. month?

If it is going to be too long I might have to look at alternatives, but I would rather build a Sympatico.

Thanks

Mark

P.S. Doesn't moving suck! Good luck.

I guess they will answer all our questions when back from "vacation". Lets give the guys a break to get settled with new job, house (+ some vacation I hope).
I have quite a lot of questions for them myself (mostly with respect to AC1) and I'm sure they will come back with an interesting line of new kits soon.

Yeah its just a matter of timing. The new Sympatico was finished just before Brian's move.

I slightly redesigned the cct and the PCBs just to optimize it a bit and make the module much easier to install. Brian is going to build one up to be sure I didn't screw anything up. :) He can't really do that until he is settled.

As soon as the new PCB is tested then it will be available.

Thanks for being patient. I thnk you guys will love the amp. It has an incredibly low noise floor, and awesome dynamics. It a perfect match for any of the TP balanced output DACs, er.... which is all of them but the standalone USB module :).

Cheers!
Russ

The boards are done and ready. Brian just has been too busy to build up a prototype so he is sending a pair to me to build. As soon as I have tested them they will be released.

Russ, thanks for the update.

Any hints as to what the changes are to the new version of the Sympatico? Does it have any fundamental changes or just a more optimised PCB?

It is basically an optimized board layout to be easier to assemble. I know I am taking forever to get the boards verified and on sale. We are working it now and hope to have on sale by sometime next week. Sorry for the delay.

We found a problem with the boards we have (mfg error). They have been updated and ordered... just waiting for arrival now (and retesting).

With all respect for the work you guys do, could you give us an update on the Sympatico?
I was really looking forward to complete my project, but it looks like its not going to happen with the Sympatico. Please let us know so we might look for alternative amps.
