Hi,

I have an Buffalo with Ivy and some strange white noise when crank up the volume of my amplifiere. Think, the only thing that helps is when i put my finger on the cable between buffalo and Ivy. But that´s a very uncomfortable listning position.
I try different wires, different layout and so on.
Any Idea ?

Thank´s

Uli

Hi Uli,

Very sorry to hear of your predicament. Lets see if I can help.

How do you have the IVY set up?

What versions of modules are you using?

Do you have any pictures you can post?

Cheers!
Russ

Hi Russ,

Thank ´s for fast reply, I think I found the beast. It´s the new Ivy supp. I placed it on the same place where the old one stands, to close, one cm backwards and the noise is very reduced. So I think of my Layout. Hope that fix it.
Great DAC, have much fun with it.

Cheer´s from Motherland of Beer,

Uli

Just curious are those custom power supplies or are they available to the public?

Uli.

I had something similar and found that it was the stacking which caused the problem.

Try increasing the distance between the DAC and the IVY - or reorganize them, flat down beside each other.
